About Christine

Christine Giustra is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. As a teenager and throughout her studies at College of Charleston, she suffered from acne.  After graduating with a French degree, she sought the care of a licensed esthetician, and finally experienced clear skin. Her skin turnaround led Christine to her own passion for clinical skincare and esthetics.

After graduating with honors from the Aveda Institute in New Orleans, Christine founded the Skin Studio, a spa destination for clinical skincare and home care solutions. As the Skin Studio's offerings and clientele expanded, the spa moved into a larger space on Magazine Street, housing 5 treatment rooms.

In its eight years of operation, the Skin Studio grew from a single-esthetician operation into a center for New Orleans' skincare health! Christine led the studio's team of talented estheticians in addressing skin concerns ranging from acne to aging, using cutting-edge technologies and customizing facials to provide each client with maximum visible results.

During this time, not entirely satisfied with the skincare solutions available on the market, Christine attended UCLA's Extension program for Cosmetic Chemistry and founded DermaPotion in 2010 as an ongoing research project into formulation.
